Today's the day! We are moving. Cole is helping my step-dad do some landscaping this morning and then will come home and work for me....hehe! We are moving the things we need at the farm to the farm today. Early next week we will put everything else in storage.
We moved Grandma last Sunday. She has been at the new home for close to a week. She has adjusted well and seems to be happy. That word hasn't come out of her mouth but she has made several comments about how nice it is.
It has been a challenging week for me. I went from having a very structured schedule seven days a week to not having a schedule at all. It was almost shocking when I realized Monday afternoon that I didn't have to rush home to make lunch for grandma. Yes, I still have a two year old that needs to eat and sleep.....but he's with me and will eat or sleep where I am! So So Nice! Don't get me wrong I cherish the time I spent with grandma. I cherish the memories I have of her and Cameron, he will most likely be the only great grand child she will know (nobody else is planning any kids in the near future!) so the time they spent together means more to me than anyone will ever know. Taking care of grandma was a blessing for all. She hasn't been this healthy in nearly 10 years (her physical strength is another matter and the reason she went into assisted living). Cole and I have had a stable income while he's been in school. It has been an incredible experience although I have told my mom and plan on telling my dad that they will be taking care of themselves when they get old, I'm not doing it!!!
Cameron has enjoyed having me all to himself. There hasn't been anymore "Cameron, wait till I'm done helping Grandma". He had had to adjust quite a bit and I am extremely worried about moving today. I know he will be fine but I think we will have a few bad nights till he gets used to going nigh, night at the farm.
Cole is working hard at school. He is enjoying his welding class the most and is very excited because he was able to tig weld for the first time last week. He burned his hand like crazy and was shocked all over the place but came home and informed me that he has a new love in this life and I was just going to have to deal with it!
There's our story! Sorry it's been so long since I've posted but life has been a little strange around here. I will post again soon because I have a story to share!

Have you seen this movie??
I'm not one to recommend movies very often. I love chick flicks and will tolerate others. I'm not one to go around talking about movies for days either! BUT, and that's a big FAT BUT!!!, I am recommending this movie to everyone I know! Have you seen it???
I thought it was incredible! The acting left something to be desired but the message and the inspiration were unbelievable! I won't give anything away, in case you haven't seen it yet, but I recommend this movie for young and old, single or married.
I was very impressed. If you haven't seen it run out to your nearest RedBox and check it out today, right now! Be sure to watch it with your significant other if you have one and grab the tissue, if your anything like me you will need it!

Pow Pow....
Yes, the pow pow above is supposed to be the sound of a gun. I was completely shocked yesterday when Cameron pointed at me and made that sound. YES, Cameron pointed at me and said (and I quote)" NO, Pow Pow". I had obviously ticked him off by asking him to bring the candy bar to me to open and break a piece off for him. I guess as a mother I over stepped my boundaries forcing the poor kid to react this way....OR he's been watching to many western gun fights with his great grandma....I believe the last statement to be true.
We are moving, no reason to dance around the change now that it's out there and arrangements have been made. Grandma is moving to a wonderful foster home. The house is gorgeous and the lady who owns and runs the home is just as nice. She seems to have a heart of gold and I truly believe grandma will be in great hands. She will move into the home in a matter for weeks if not days. Cole, Cameron and I will move back to the farm for a couple of months. I searching fervently for a job (that would possibly work around Cole's school schedule). I am looking forward to some me time and not having to care for someone other than Cameron twenty-four hours a day seven days a week. Don't get me wrong I love my grandmother and am so grateful for the time Cole, Cameron and I have had with her, I do believe however that it is time for us to part our separate ways so that she can have the professional medical care she needs and so that I can focus on our family and my marriage!
School is going well for Cole. The welding program has moved to the Table Rock campus in White City. Only having to travel a couple of miles rather than 60 miles round trip a day has been a huge blessing. Although gas prices have gone down for the time being, we are saving money. It caused Cole great anxiety to travel to Grants Pass and be 45 minutes away, if there was an emergency he was terrified he wouldn't be here in time.
I am holding up well. I have lists coming out my ears and am struggling to find the motivation to pack and continue going through things, however it's coming together and all will be well.
Cameron is a cute and crazy as ever! He has started talking more (YAY!!!). I'm amazed, daily, by how smart my little two year-old is. It's incredible to me how much they learn and imitate. He is a wonderful beautiful child and I thank Heavenly Father daily for blessing up with him.
There you have it, a quick update to let you know we are here, we are alive and we are kicking!

Giraffe
Cameron loves animals! A few months ago Cole taught him some new animal noises and a giraffe was on of them. Cole imagines the noise of a giraffe as a slurping/licking of leaves off of the trees.Cameron does this noise on command and get lots of laughs every time! I'm serious, ask next time.....it's pretty cute!
Anyhow, we were sitting here at the computer trying to entertain the poor fussy two year old. Cole and Cameron like to look at cool picture on google images. This was one they found....the moment Cameron saw it he busted up laughing and laughed for close to two minutes. He thought it was down right hilarious.
I hope it's brought a smile to your face! Have a wonderful Friday everyone!

Happy Birthday, to you......
Happy Birthday, to you....Happy Birthday, dear Cole... Happy Birthday to you!!!
Yes, today was Cole's 24th birthday. He was telling me the other day how old he feels (I know it's disgusting to you that are older than us) because things like music and such that we used to listen to are so outdated now. He does have a point....
Anyhow, We had a pretty normal day....aside from having to renew his drivers license for the very first time...eight years ago today he got his drivers license. I made Goulash for dinner at his request and a coffee cake (with no candles and no happy birthday song). All in all I think he could say it was a good day.
Happy Birthday, Honey!

Joy
On other fronts, school has started again and we are head deep already. Cole has three classes and seems to enjoy them all. His favorite this term....his Human Relations class.
I am still simplifying and organizing and downsizing. I'm not sleeping well at night (it's 6:20am as I'm writing this....that's not normal for me).
Cameron is still obsessed with trains. He said "oh cool" yesterday. He has the most beautiful laugh that makes me smile everytime he laughs.
And that's all for now!

Happy New Year and Blog Face Lift
I stretched the holiday season as long as I could, but I had to change my background. The good new is Valentines day is right around the corner and even though I'm not feeling the least bit romantic I thought I would pretend like I am. The new background is to hopefully get me in a better frame of mind!
Happy New Year!!! We rang in the new year by lounging around in our jammies while watching a movie....we barely made it. I am looking forward to a fresh start....it hasn't started good but maybe it will turn around!
We were released from our CTR6 calling at church. I am so grateful for the little ones we spent our Sundays with. I am looking forward to Relief Society and studying the lessons weekly with the sisters. No new calling yet, and that's okay.
Cameron is still enjoying all of his new things. He is spoiled rotten and has plenty of toys to keep him busy for hours.
WE have been fortunate enough to spend some extra time with Cole's family. His older sister Mandi was in town last week and it was a pleasure to spend time with her and her new man.
Life goes on no matter what, we are just trying to make the best of it....especially now.
Here's to a new year, new trials and new blessings!
