Update

Aside from my post yesterday, it's been awhile.

I have a sinus infection. I a have been taking cold meds, faithfully every four hours for three days. I am exhausted, physically and emotionally and I want to collapse. But I am still going, with a list, a couple feet long. There are things that need to be done and they don't wait for me to feel better!

Cole starts his new job today....yes, he works at Bimor/Texaco on the corner of 99 and Pine st....stop by and say hello! He finally got hired on there after bugging them for a few weeks, seriously! He had been job hunting for just as long as he had been bugging them and NOBODY is hiring! He starts today at noon. He's excited, it makes him feel better to be contributing and helping in that area. School is still going good. If you ask him how he feels about it he responds with an excited "I love it!!". He passed his first certification block and was very excited...one down, six to go!

Cameron is good as always. He has gotten very vocal in the last few weeks, he still doesn't talk much aside from the mama and dad and dog. He will say please and this and he does say more and baby. By vocal I mean he is making more sounds. I walked into the living room the other day to hear him practicing g sounds and b sounds. Today in the car he was practicing saying this. His birthday is just a few days away. We did his birthday present shopping this morning and got him a couple of small cute things.

Other than that life is carrying on around us and sometimes it's hard to keep up! We sure hope this finds everyone well! We love you.

ER, again.

Yes, that's right....Cole ended up in the ER, again, last night. I ask my self when will this end? When will we be given a break? How is he supposed to function? How am I supposed to take care of him? and me? and Cameron? and Grandma?

I know the answer. I know the truth. And at moments I question. But. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan. I know that we and this are part of his plan. Each time Cole is made stronger and each time we as a couple are strengthened. I know that Cole will be made whole in the end and that one day he will be able to live without the pain and without the anxiety.

I am thankful today for a loving supportive family. My sisters came over with in minutes of receiving my phone call to help with grandma and to watch Cameron. My mom provides hugs which during these times I need, they aren't provided when Cole is feeling the way he has. I am thankful for my father-in-law who asked the question and gave me a release for a moment; who reminded me who was counting on me and who needed me. He also provides insight and helps me to carry on. I am thankful to the ER doctor and the PCU nurse; I was unnecessarily rude and I realize that today, although I still feel justified, they worked with Cole and provided the medication to calm my husband.

Wife, I am. Mother, I am. Advocate, I am. Care-giver, I am. Daughter of Heavenly Father, I am.

Happy Anniversay, Cole!!

Today is our third anniversary! Here's our story!

Cole and I met in high school he was a senior and I was a junior. We had seen each other in the halls and such but never had we interacted. We were both in drama and were doing a production of Grease together. I was Jan and he was Sonny. Half-way through our three months worth of rehearsals I decided I had a crush on him. I did what every high schooler did and told my best friend to find out how he felt. A few minutes later on a break we were both at the water fountain and he used a hilarious pick-up line on me. Now, I don't remember what it was...but trust me it was pretty funny! In the end he got my phone number....not that he remembered it because he never called.....

It took him another month to call me....at this point he had two other "girlfriends". He would die if he knew i was telling all of his dirty secrets. Anyways it wasn't until dress rehearsal that we talked again and I of course had to initiate it. I asked him if he wanted to go to lunch before our Saturday show. He said he wasn't sure but that he'd call me. I found out later that Cole didn't have my number any more but that he called my BFF and got it from her....the morning we were supposed to go to lunch....I know I shoulda ditched him there. But We did go to lunch and we had a great time even though his friends showed up to spy on us. We walked around at a park for a while and then we went back to his house....he had to trade his parents cars. Anyways....later that day he told me how much he liked me...looking back it makes me laugh because he liked every girl. But we were officially boyfriend girlfriend by the end of the night and we were holding hands.

That was in April 2003. He graduated in June 2003 and moved to Alaska...I was heart broken. I didn't know how I'd go on and blah blah blah. We broke up....in August 2003. But as you probably guessed he came home in October and whisked me off my feet. But we broke up again! LOL I know I know! In January I was so busy with school and the drama club I was a part of that I didn't think I wanted a boyfriend....then I had to play hard to get for a few months. I graduated in June 2004 and we started dating AGAIN in August 2004.

On October 17, 2004 Cole took me to the spot he told me he loved me for the first time (only to weeks after we first started dating!!! in April 2003.), the Mae Richardson Elementary School playground (I lived only a few steps from there). He told me how much he loved me and how much he loved my family. He had hopes of his family loving me and of me loving his family! He wanted to share forever together and asked me to marry him. Of Course I said YES! Yes I was just barely 18, yes I had just barely graduated and yes our parents were furious. BUT I don't regret that decision one bit, never have!

We were married on October 16, 2005 at Lithia Park in Ashland Oregon. Our ceremony was very small, short and sweet. Our family's were there and we each had our best friends by our sides.

Now, Three years later we have beautiful little boy and I love Cole more than I did the day we were married! We now each other better, we understand each other better. We share hopes and dreams. But the best part of it all, I know who I will spend eternity with. I love you, Cole, and I look forward to our forever!

Fall Mornings

We went to the farm last week to visit and play with Cameron cousins that are his same age. My sister-in-law Erin took the little guys outside for a few minutes, she stepped in to answer the phone while my mother-in-law ans I were in a deep conversation. Erin turned around a minute later and the three little guys had run...they were across the property at Heidi's house!

Cameron and Dallin were driving trains in a pile of dirt with Hunter helping close by! (this picture was take from the top of Lorie's driveway....my zoom did a pretty good job...although you can barely see the little guys)
Here's Hyrum a little closer to the house than Cameron and Dallin...I guess he couldn't find a good enough spot to drive his tractor.
A better picture of Cameron (on the right) and Dallin just driving their trains.
We finally got them back to Lorie's yard. Dallin and Hyrum decided to jump on the trampolin (with adult supervision of course)
Cameron was not intrested in the trampolin!
He found a kitty instead! He loved and petted and chased the kitty! Then he found some apples.

I love the farm. I love the crisp, cool, autumn days and I am glad that we have family close and that Cameron has friends to play with.

Grandma's Birthday Party

Last night we had a birthday party for my Grandmother. I made my very first Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting...it was delicous. Here are some pictures.....

Here's the cake.....

We only had four candles....but we thought that was okay...75 may have been to many.

My mom and my sister Amanda.

There you have it. We had a house full but grandma said she enjoyed her evening.

Happy Birthday, Grandma

Today is Grandma's (Doris) 75th Birthday! She doesn't read this but I wanted to share it with the rest of you! To be honest we are all a little surprised she made it this far....three quarters of a century!!!!
I'm not going to list 75 things I love about her....although I'm sure I could come up with that many....I just don't have the patients to do it!

So her I go with a few:

1. I love that she can tell the same story over and over again and not get bored!
2. I love that she loves my grandfather the same if not more than she did the day she married him...even though he passed away 10 years ago.
3. I love that she loves my Cameron just about as much as I do!
4. I love that she has finally gotten to know Cole and loves him too!
5. I love that she likes my cooking....(I'm no gourmet chef so this is quite a compliment....)
6. I love that she trusts me enough to take care of her.
7. Her family is the most important thing to her.

Here's to Grandma! I love you, I know we have our days....but you are still my grandma and I will always love you. Happy Birthday!

p.s. this picture is the only picture I have of grandma...it was take almost a year ago on Cameron's first birthday!
